Background: M.A. in general and comparative linguistics (minor: computer science). Many years of work experience in editing multilingual manuscripts and coding multilingual websites. Multi-cultural family, friends, and colleagues. Advanced training in the area of internet services (webmaster ICC, online editor WBS Training, web designer University of Applied Sciences) and continuing. Further training in intercultural mediation (Lernhaus Frankfurt).
Working together with a diversity of users – some of them blind, some without hearing, some with motor disabilities, some with visual impairments – actually, very many with visual impairments (virtually everyone above the age of 45), some with little knowledge of English (or German, for that matter), some with little knowledge of writing, some with little social competence, some with a big house and two cars, some with social welfare … well, with people. Because websites are for people.
Working together with designers, programmers, writers, and translators, many of them from the fabulous network webgrrls.de. Working in the leading team of the local chapter Rhein-Main.
